Solar Battery Advisor is a free educational tool that helps California homeowners understand battery storage incentive programs and estimate potential savings. All information is for educational purposes only.

3. Estimates & Disclaimers

All savings estimates, incentive amounts, payback periods, and financial projections are estimates only and not guarantees.

  • Incentive programs change frequently — amounts shown may not reflect current availability
  • Battery costs vary by installer, location, and installation complexity
  • VPP income projections are based on current program terms which may change
  • Actual savings depend on your specific energy usage, rate plan, and utility territory

Always verify incentive availability directly with your utility and obtain multiple installer quotes.

Nothing on this site constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Information about the federal ITC, SGIP, or other incentives is educational only. Consult a qualified tax professional before making decisions based on tax credit eligibility.

5. User Consent

By providing your contact information, you consent to receiving your requested assessment. If you opt in to installer matching, you consent to having your information shared with solar installation companies. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@energyscout.org.

6. Third-Party Installers

We may connect users with third-party installers. We do not employ, endorse, or guarantee any installer. Any agreement with an installer is solely between you and that company.

7. Limitation of Liability

This service is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of our estimates or recommendations, including financial losses from reliance on our projections.
